Overview
Lumora Ventures LLC ("Lumora", "we", "our", "us") is a coding and learning platform designed for students aged 8–18, available at lumora.camp (web) and as a mobile app on iOS. We take the privacy and safety of our users seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your display name, username, age range, and email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those providers. Apple Sign-In may provide a private relay email address if you choose to hide your email. We also store the code you write in projects, your learning progress across all subjects (math, ELA, Hindi, Vedic math), and any messages you send through the contact form or coaching tutor.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to provide and improve the Lumora platform: saving your project progress, displaying your portfolio, powering the AI tutor, and responding to contact form submissions. We do not sell your data to third parties. We use Vercel Analytics to understand general usage patterns (page views, feature usage) — this data is anonymous and aggregated.
AI Tutor
The coaching tutor is powered by AI. Messages you send to the tutor are processed to generate responses but are not used to train AI models. Conversations are not stored permanently — they exist only during your active session.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data. All connections use HTTPS encryption. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled through secure third-party providers (Google OAuth, Apple Sign-In, or email/password with secure hashing).
Children's Privacy & COPPA
Lumora is designed for students aged 8–18. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. For users under 13, we collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the service. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information without your consent, please contact us at contact@lumora.camp and we will promptly delete it.
Your Rights
You can request to view, export, or delete your data at any time by contacting us. You can delete your account through the platform, which will remove your profile and project data.
